Protecting
Your Vote:
In the judgment given on 4th April Labour Councillors were found
guilty of a "massive, systematic and organised fraud" which had
made "a mockery" of the election as the Judge put it.
He
went on to say that "The system is wide open to fraud and any would-be
political fraudster knows that,".
This is why protecting your Vote from Theft or Fraud is now essential,
if you have not already read the preceding page with all of the
background information on this please click
here. If you have read this and you want to Protect Your
Vote please follow the advice below, and you must contact your local
Council without delay:
If
you have asked for a Postal Vote Click Here
If you have Not Asked for a Postal Vote see section immediately
below.

numbers of postal vote requests, and potential problems - Click

You
have not asked for a Postal Vote:
- Telephone
your local Council
and ask for the Electoral Returning Officer or that department.
- Explain
that you are concerned about your vote being stolen and want to
check it. You will be asked for your name and address which the
Council Officer will then check against the electoral roll and
tell you if you are shown as having a Postal Vote or not.
- If
you are showing as a Postal Vote and have not asked for it see
A below, if your vote is showing as a normal 'in person' vote
then see B below.

A
(Fraudulent postal vote showing)
|
B
(normal in person vote unchanged)
|
- Write
to the Council stating that you have not requested this
and it is fraudulent and that you require them to investigate
this;
- Confirm
in the letter that you are not to be listed for a postal
vote without your providing proof of identity. We would
suggest that you set out what this should be and a Passport
or photo driving license would be first choice. (This works
both ways - if someone later tries to steal your vote they
will not be able to and if someone other than yourself wrote
to the council to try and deny you your postal vote they
would not be able to - as either case would require a proof
of identity.)
- Ask
the Council to write back to you by return confirming they
have actioned this, have restored your vote in person and
are investigating the attempted vote theft.
- Contact
your local Police immediately and report this as an Election
Fraud and insist they investigate, take a note of the crime
report (URN) the police give you.
- Do
not allow the police to claim that this is an offence they
cannot investigate.
- Please
email us with details as we are planning on collating these

IMPORTANT
-
Discussions with Electoral Returning Officers.
From some preliminary discussions with Electoral Returning
Officers we understand that they are experiencing huge numbers
of Postal Vote Applications which is already placing the system
under strain. The more Postal Vote applications there are
the greater the concerns are about widespread electoral fraud
and the more important it is for you to ensure your vote has
not been stolen.
As
more and more people take the steps we advise to ensure their
vote has not been stolen we suspect that the local Councils
will be under extreme pressure in dealing with these and that
delays in response will occur. The sooner you are able to
safeguard your vote the better it will be. Please advise others
of this and you can use the email postcard below to send to
your address book with a note from yourself.
