Talk - talk to as many people as possible, and particularly those who have no interest in hunting

Make sure that people really understand new Labour - its failures, its lies, its deceits and why they should not vote for it. Nothing is more powerful than talking to people you meet , not about hunting, but about topics which matter to them and where Labour has failed them time and again.

Read the facts and the methods from here and Use them ! - they are proven to work and got one pro-hunting campaigner live on Radio 4 and then from that, live on TV tackling Health Secretary John Reid over the 30,000 lives lost each year through Labour NHS failures. How many votes has that cost New Labour? and it was just one person doing their bit.

We all know that Blair and Labour spin and twist words to deceive the public. Where they promise and cannot deliver they change the statistics to try and con the public that they have. We all know they have failed this country; worse still Blair & co set out to change this country into 'their image' and the damage they have inflicted may take 20-30 years to put right.

Most of the public are not politically aware, they aren't aware of how Labour have wrecked things which are important to them. They don't read political comment or watch political news. But - People listen and take note of what people they meet talk about! And listening (talking to them) opens people's eyes and shows them why they must not let another Labour government be elected. Better still they then talk to others and pass the word along.

What you can do will change public opinion, destroys support and that's how You can help nail Blair and this treacherous government.

Talk - starting today ! Talk in the pub, in the shop - supermarket checkouts are great as others will overhear you - talk on the school run - in public meetings - write letters to your local papers - phone in to radio chat shows - But get the message across that New Labour have had their day and wrecked the country! But don't talk about hunting - the average person isn't interested.

And - get all your friends and colleagues who support hunting to do the same and tell them about this web site.

Campaigning Overview

This explains what we are doing and why and gives an overview of wht you should get involved with doing now. If you want to be put in touch with other people to work with them or need support for something you are doing please email us here.

Here are 4 very strong strands for the campaign, all built upon the simple approach of making the sitting (anti-hunting) MP unattractive to vote for and the chosen pro-hunting candidate desirable to vote for. These strands will, on occasion, overlap or intermingle. Every one of us can play our part in this whether we have a little or a lot of time to spare.

• They are:
  • Reduce Public Support for New Labour nationally and specificallyfor the local MP within the constituencies of appropriate current anti-hunting MPs .
  • Enhance the image and profile of the supported candidates within their constituency; and this can include suggesting local policy or campaign issues where these have been identified and are appropriate
  • Provide 'bodies on the street' to support and multiply the leaflet delivery and other campaigning of supported parliamentary candidates and support with posters and in other ways
  • Enlist the local and national support of other appropriate bodies which can form opinion, sway opinion or deliver votes through their support.
• Use all the means available to get rid of anti-hunting MPs and to support pro-hunting MPs, you can learn how these work here.
• Never mention hunting at all ....... it is the Labour failures affecting everyvoter which will get rid of them.
• Help wherever you can - but also Act Locally because :
  • local people are local, and clearly have a direct interest in the local result
  • Being seen by neighbours and friends to be actively supporting a candidate or a campaign adds huge weight and encourages others to support or join in and to Vote for the candidate
  • The voices of local people will be listened to and reported by the local media - because they are local people.
  • with local knowledge on issues, people and places and they are seen not to be outsiders drafted in
• There is a key message about New Labour which has not yet been spoken and yet it reaches to the heart of everything they have done or have failed to do. "INCOMPETENCE and WASTE"
• Incompetence - Whether you believe in what New Labour have promised they would - do or not they simply do not have the competence to deliver:
  • they have shown they do not have the ability to deliver on their 'pledges' and,
  • to hide their incompetence they cover it with a web of spin, deceit, lies and twisted statistics - until they seem to believe their own deceits
  • we know that they must raise taxes to cover their financial black hole yet Blair is in denial and refuses to accept it, and
  • we know that public services will decline even further but cost even more.
  • Education standards are falling year on year, the health service is beginning to unravel, immigration is uncontrolled while violent crime is reaching epidemic proportions
  • New Labour's incompetence goes to the heart of their failures in education, health service, immigration, crime, transport, pensions, and more.
• Waste - Labour have wasted billions of pounds of our money and
  • the Government's own research has now shown that productivity across all public services is down between 15% and 20% after Labour's 8 years
  • Cutting out Labour's waste would save enough to take 6p off the basic rate of income tax bringing it down from 22p to 16p.

Radio
Local Radio stations are everywhere and they all need Local News and Local Views every day . They want and need people like you to contact them and talk on air and what you tell people will Cost Labour Votes.

We are shortly including a 'pop up' page with some topic suggestions for you and please read the Local Campaigns and Petitions section below as well as the Demonstrate section, you can use Local radio to tell people about these and why you are doing them.

• The listener will take more note of what Local People like yourself are saying on a radio programme and trust it more than they do a politician
• if you quote the facts - you can find here - or a personal story of how Labour's failures or policies have affected you badly you will get a very powerful message across to listeners which will show them why they cannot trust or vote for New Labour!
• Use this to have your say and spread the word to the listeners about New Labour failures
• Tell them you could not vote for them now for the reason you have just given.
• You may be able to say that you have supported Labour in the past but they have let us all down so badly that you couldn't vote new Labour again again. That is a powerful message.
• Unless it is a programme specifically including hunting or countrysports make no mention of hunting at all - stick to topics which will are important to the general public - you will find the information here.
• Don't worry if you have never spoken on the radio before, most people who call in are first time callers. Just think about the message you want to get across and the points you want to make, have them clear in your mind and you will make your point easily and strongly.
• Remember every time you do you will have cost Labour some more votes!!
• If you are in your car and hear a local radio programme with something you feel able to talk on - pull over and phone them !! Make your point there and then.

There are 2 basic kinds of Radio phone in programmes so make sure you phone in to both.

• a presenter on air who invites people to phone in to the studio often on a local or national news story. They are waiting for you to call and give your views - so do it !!
• A late evening show where the presenter asks people to phone in on any topic. You can use this to raise any topic that concerns you - like a specific failure by new Labour.

Radio News

Radio stations need local news every day - news from people like you. Take a local issue where it can be blamed on a Labour policy or failing - whether that is by the Government or the Local Council - and raise it as a news story with your local radio station.

It might be on Crime - where police have note responded, or education and falling standards or increased violence in the classroom, it might be health and cancelled operations or excessive waiting lists, or any one of the vast number of Labour policy failures.

Think what the angle or real story is and contact your local radio station and ask to talk to the news team. Tell them about the story and give an interview. If you have an issue and want advice on how to approach it or present it you are welcome to email us with your phone number and we will get some advice and suggestions to you.

Some Simple Guidelines to remember:

• Whatever you talk about speak simply and clearly about it.
• try and keep sentences short and simple but with solid facts
• Know the facts you are going to use before you call - you can always jot them down on a piece of paper to be sure you miss none out.
• Show how a Labour policy or failure has caused a problem
• Topical items are looked for - if its on the national news try and use this and bring in a local angle on it.

Television
There are 2 approaches for television. A News Story or taking part in a programme like Question Time where the audience is invited to join in the discussion adn ask questions.

We will be adding some detailed guidelines about TV news stories shortly - but if you are running a demonstration or a protest remember that Mondays and Fridays are not the best of days for the News Teams. The best time of day is between 10.00am and 11.30am because this allows the TV company to use the same story on its 1.00pm lunchtime slot as well as its evening news - which is better value for them!

Audience programmes like Question Time need you to phone in to ask to go on the programme. So do it.... We will add the phone numbers of the programmes shortly

Help a pro-hunting candidate near you -
email us here if you need to be put in touch - be sure to include your name, address and telephone number. You will be helping alongside many other like minded people who are determined to get rid of New Labour.

You can help in many important ways including:

• spending an hour or two delivering leaflets,
• or addressing envelopes,
• or talking to people on the doorstep,
• Email campaigns Erecting poster boards
• Taxi-ing people to vote on election day
• Knocking up to remind to vote - either door to door or by phone (preferably not by text which is impersonal and removes the chance to persuade waverers or lazy voters - Knowledge of local/national issues is important here to remind people why they must get out and vote - and where possible the person 'knocking up' should know the 'key issue' for that individual voter).
• Blitzing the area with poster covered vehicles on the eve of and again on election day to create the sense of a tidal wave of support for the preferred candidate
• Support vehicles for a high profile campaign day where the candidate is out knocking on doors along with a canvassing team - or having a walk about. · Campaign back-office support

But - even the smallest amount of time You can spare will make a difference - it could bring that 1 extra vote needed to win an election. And that is very true as Labour find their voters slipping away.

As just one example, a marginal London constituency needed help delivering leaflets. A coach-load of countrysports supporters turned up and delivered all 25,000 leaflets the same day !! That almost certainly has gained 500 to 1,000 votes - so just think what you could help achieve !
